East Bay Hills Project

HyperArts worked with the East Bay Hills Project team to migrate the site from Drupal to WordPress. We created custom photo galleries to display the thousands of photos about the history of rail lines in the East Bay region near San Francisco and out to the Central Valley.

  • Black-and-white photo of a train on railroad tracks curving through hilly, wooded terrain; large white text reads East Bay Hills Project over the image.
  • Screenshot of a website titled Oakland to Pittsburg by Rail > Oakland showing three photo entries of Shafer Avenue Architecture in Rockridge, each with descriptions and preview images of streets and intersections.
  • A black-and-white photo from around 1950 shows a SW 604 field freight train on Shafer Ave, passing palm trees and houses on both sides of the street. Power lines and a classic car are also visible.
