What a HyperArts Website Costs
We’d rather give you real numbers up front than make you book a call to find out. The ranges below come from more than 28 years of building WordPress websites for nonprofits, research teams, schools, government programs, and Bay Area businesses.
Every project is quoted individually after a free discovery conversation, but most fall into one of these ranges.
Website Design & Development
Small to Mid-Sized Sites
$12,000 – $25,000
Under about 15 pages, one or a small team of editors, and no special integrations. Includes discovery, sitemap and content planning, page template design, a WordPress build, and QA and launch support.
Mid-Sized Sites With More Complexity
$25,000 – $45,000
About 16–60 pages with a strong custom design, structured content such as events, people, or publications, simple filtering or directories, and multiple user roles. This is the sweet spot for most nonprofits, research teams, and growing businesses.
Large, Content-Heavy Sites
$45,000 – $80,000
60+ pages, large content libraries, advanced search and filtering, editorial workflows, and integrations with CRMs, APIs, or single sign-on. Includes information architecture, content migration, and multi-stage stakeholder reviews.
Enterprise, Multisite & Lab-Level Platforms
$80,000 – $150,000+
Multisite networks, large associations, and institutional platforms with deep integrations, advanced permissions, content governance, and long-term roadmaps.
Every new website includes discovery and planning, custom design, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, CMS training for your team, and launch with redirects to protect your search rankings. See our WordPress design and development services.
Redesigns and Enhancements
Enhancing an Existing WordPress Site
$5,000 – $25,000
For sites with solid bones that look or work dated: a design refresh, new features or page templates, and speed and accessibility fixes. An enhancement can deliver much of the value of a rebuild at a fraction of the cost.
Web Applications, Integrations & Accessibility
Quoted by scope
Custom tools, CRM and API integrations, and accessibility audits vary widely in size, so we scope them after discovery. Many are added to a new website build or done as a focused follow-on project.

Ongoing Support and Hosting
Launch day isn’t the last invoice. Plan for these ongoing costs so your site stays secure and useful:
- WordPress care plan: plans start at $75 a month for WordPress and plugin updates, or $185 a month with daily backups, security scanning, and uptime monitoring. Annual billing saves about 15%. Compare all plans on our WordPress support packages page.
- Managed WordPress hosting: typically $40 to $300+ per month, depending on traffic and site size. We’ll help you choose the right host.
- Premium plugins and licenses: usually a few hundred dollars a year.
What Affects the Price
Two websites with the same number of pages can have very different budgets. The biggest factors are:
- Content complexity: directories, publications databases, events, and multi-level filtering take more work than simple pages.
- Integrations: connecting to a CRM, donation platform, single sign-on, or external database.
- Design: the number of templates, custom layouts, and interactive elements.
- Content migration: moving and redirecting a large library from an older site, especially Joomla or Drupal.
- Copywriting: whether your content is ready or needs to be written. See why copy should come before design.
- Stakeholders: board reviews, multiple program leads, and grant deadlines add review rounds.

Working With a Nonprofit Budget
We don’t offer a blanket nonprofit discount. Instead, we scope projects to fit realistic nonprofit budgets: phasing work across grant cycles, recommending an enhancement instead of a rebuild when it makes sense, and being honest when a simpler option is the right call for now. Many foundations also fund website projects through capacity-building grants. See what a nonprofit website costs in 2026.
Pricing FAQs
Most new websites we build cost between $12,000 and $80,000, depending on size, content complexity, and integrations. Large multisite and institutional platforms can run $80,000 to $150,000 or more. Enhancements to an existing WordPress site typically cost $5,000 to $25,000.
Two sites with the same number of pages can need very different amounts of work. Publications databases, CRM integrations, and large content migrations change the scope far more than page count does. A short discovery conversation lets us give you an accurate range instead of a package that doesn’t fit.
Most custom websites take 3 to 6 months from discovery to launch. Larger sites with integrations, big content migrations, or multiple approval rounds can take longer.
We don’t offer a flat discount. Instead, we scope projects to fit realistic nonprofit budgets, often by phasing work across grant cycles or recommending an enhancement instead of a full rebuild.
Plan for a WordPress care plan, which starts at $75 a month, plus managed hosting, which typically runs $40 to $300 or more per month, and any premium plugin licenses.
Yes. Many clients launch with the essentials and add features such as a resource library, member portal, or CRM integration in a later phase. WordPress makes it straightforward to grow the site over time.
