Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
Any effective website search engine optimization (SEO) begins with a thorough analysis of your current status regarding keyword ranking, and a review of your company's website to see how "friendly" it is to the search engines (SEs), as regards coding and content.
HyperArts can also manage your Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns. Read more about our PPC services.
OUR SEO / SEM PROCESS
- HyperArts consults with you to determine your company's top high-value keywords/phrases. Central to this is determining the keywords/phrases which users would most likely use when using SEs to find your company's services/products. Some visitor-tracking tools provide metrics for which words users searched to find your site. HyperArts can help you set up the best tracking tools for your site.
- HyperArts reviews your website's underlying code to see if it is "search-engine friendly". We look at the various tags on the pages (title, metatags) to see if they support your high-value keywords. We also determine if the HTML mark-up is sufficiently "structural" (i.e., use of <h1>, <h2> etc. tags to assign levels of importance to words). We also look at the website's content to assess its effectiveness in supporting your high-value keywords/phrases. Sites that are heavy with images but light with text content are at a disadvantage the SEs like visible HTML content, and alt tags in images and metatags are no longer given the "weight" they once were.
- HyperArts conducts a benchmark study to assess your company's current position in the SEs (Google, MSN, Yahoo!, AOL) for your top high-value keywords/phrases.
- HyperArts then prepares a thorough report with results and recommendations. The report explains:
- how your website's coding and/or content could be improved
- where your website ranks for each keyword/phrase
- your website's link popularity (how many sites link to your site) compared to your competition's link popularity
- which competitors are beating you and why
- HyperArts and you review the contents of the report and together we come up with a plan to upgrade your website's keyword ranking.
- After all the upgrades have been accomplished, HyperArts then submits your website to the top SEs.
- Thirty days after the initial submission of your website, HyperArts conducts another benchmark study to assess keyword ranking improvements, and a follow-up report is prepared, with recommendations.
PAY-PER-CLICK ("PPC") CAMPAIGNS
There are two types of search engine results:
- organic
These are the search results that are not paid for, but returned solely by a search engine's assessment of your ranking for the terms searched. - pay-per-click
These are the "Sponsored Links" that appear at the very top and in the right column of the search results page. Sponsors/advertisers "bid" on search terms and their ads/listings show up under Sponsored Links, the position determined by the amount the advertiser has bid on the search terms, as well as the number of users who have clicked through to the advertiser's website via their sponsored link.
