George Brooks, Saxophonist
George is a great saxophonist and composer whose group, Summit, counts Steve Smith (Journey's drummer) and tabla player Zakir Hussain among its members.
Romeo Void
Romeo Void became popular in the 80s with the hits "Girl in Trouble" and "Never Say". Their popularity recently received a boost when VH1 did a one-hour special on the band, including a reunion concert.
Mike Marshall
Mike is one of the best folk/bluegrass/acoustic musicians alive. His groundbreaking work with Darol Anger, Mark O'Connor, Edgar Meyer, Joshua Bell and Chris Thile pretty much says it all.
The Tim Ware Group
The Tim Ware Group was one of the major exponents of New Acoustic Music in the 1980s. Along with many other very talented folk- and jazz-influenced acoustic musicians, they defined a new kind of acoustic ensemble. This site is a resource for their undiminished fan base.

Terry is the author of the bestselling memoir The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio, which is being made into a feature film by Dreamworks, starring Julianne Moore as Terry's mom who raised a family of eleven by winning contests and sweepstakes in the 1950s and 60s.

For many years Patricia Holt was the Book Review Editor and Critic for The San Francisco Chronicle. Her website provides a monthly online version of her email column about books and the book industry.
