Seen custom FBML boxes on the left side of Facebook Fan page walls? It’s easy to do yourself, but just as a warning, Facebook is planning to remove the boxes tab and left-column boxes in “early 2010.”
When you create the FBML box that you wish to publish on your page’s wall, remember to keep the dimensions appropriate for the space. If you create a box that is too wide, you will mess with the formatting. You have 200 pixels of width, and plenty of height. You can move the wall box anywhere below the Fans box (it can not sit directly under your profile photo).
So, here are step-by-step instructions for adding the wall box:
1) Go to “Edit my page” and find the existing FBML box that you wish to send to your wall.
2) Click on “Application settings” and choose to Add the Box option.
3) Go back to the Page and click the arrows the the right of your wall tabs. Go to the Boxes tab.
4) Find the FBML box you just added. Click on the editing pencil in the upper right hand corner and choose “Move to Wall tab”
